GHOST 11 vs 7.6

Symantec GHOST is useful desktop software which can backup your drive or partition efficiently. We use it backup a clean system image, then if there is any trouble (virus, Trojan, etc), we can restore our system to clean in a few minutes.

There are 2 series GHOST versions. One is MS-DOS compatible (include 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, 11.x), another can only used in Windows environment (include 9.x, 10.x, 12.x).

Last day, I evaluated GHOST version 11.0.1. I find there is not any time-short when G11 restore an image file created by G7.6. It's not match the release note of G11. It said that G11 improve operation speed much and will save a lot of time.

At last, I compiled the image file with GHOST Explorer version 11.0.1, then I repeat the restore action, I restore the system from the image file. This time, there is an obviously speed improvement.

GHOST works maximum efficiently with the image which compiled with GHOST Explorer same version.
