Tabbed application v.s dual-monitor
In a long period, I like tabbed application, like WPS, some 3-party PDF reader. They open documents in a new tab, rather than a new window. This will greatly save task bar space. As no matter how many documents the application opens, it only occupies one seat on task bar. But for MS Word, if you open 10 documents, these 10 documents will occupy the whole task bar.
But now, when I am equipped dual-monitor, I find the shortage of tabbed applications: they cannot open two documents in two monitors, which is essential for document comparison.
So, if you have dual-monitor system, make sure using MS Word and Adobe Reader. You will find they are worth task bar space they occupy.
