What’s a good feature phone

iPhone is a very good feature phone!

It sounds totally wrong. iPhone is absolutely a smart phone. None will think iPhone is just a feature phone.

I don’t either.

I think iPhone is a brilliant feature phone and smart phone.

Is there a standard for good feature phone? No, there isn’t.

I think most people use their smartphone as a customized feature phone.

Then, what’s my standard for smart phone?

  • QWERTY keyboard. This is a must for me. I can’t endure key in something on a glass. For this reason, I like Motorola Droid and Nokia E Series.

  • Touch screen. A touch screen makes surfing and navigating smoothly.

  • Portable. As a GTDer, when I have something raised in my head, the first thing I will do is to grab my mobile phone. So an ideal feature phone should be light enough to be put into pockets easily.

  • Good camera. I like the camera on iPhone 4. It’s really good for daily use. I can’t bring a professional camera everyday. A good phone camera as iPhone 4 is essential.

  • GPS and Wi-Fi. They will help me positioning where I am. I need position info to add GeoTag on my tweets, photos and find around venues.

  • Dictionary. A good dictionary is vital feature for me as I am not good at in English.

  • Google Plus or Twitter support.

  • GTD software support.
